Was just watchin GREAT EXPECTATIONS today.... the 1998 one. You know, modernised story. Ethan Hawke, Gwynith Paltrow. Theres this scene. With Ethan and the Ms Havisham lady. Finn has just come to know of Estella's marriage to Ragno. And its Ms Havisham whos made Estella unfeeling over the years, hard inside like a rock. Unfeeling even to Finn's love.
He s standing there heartbroken and old Ms Havisham says she had warned him bout it years ago. He walks over to her, takes her hand in his and puts it on his beating heart. 'Do you know what this is?' he says. 'Its my heart.' She s looking at him. 'And its broken.'
She suddenly realises what she s done to him. And Estella.

Ethan Hawke. Great acting.

Whos beautiful and whos not beautiful? Ever seen the world through the lens of a camera? Like a one way conversation... just see.Not with your eyes.See with your mind. In this frame of your minds eye, look at someone.Try close ups of their faces. And see the beauty. Its right there. Under the dark beautiful skin. Feels like something soothing even in the scorching sun. It makes me feel the earth... perhaps the smell of raindrops exploding in the soil in the summer heat. And they think only few are beautiful!

A poem by Elizabeth Browning.

If thou must love me, let it be for naught

Except for love's sake only. Do not say
"I love her for her smile...her look...her way of speaking gently---

For a trick of thought
That falls in well with mine, and certes brought
A sense of pleasant ease on such a day."

For these things in themselves, beloved, may be changed, or changed
for thee-and love so wrought may be unwrought so.
Neither love me for thine own dear pity's wiping my cheeks dry---

A creature might forget to weep, who bore their comfort long,
and lose their love thereby.
But love me for love's sake, that evermore thou mayst love on,

Through love's eternity.

-ELIZABETH BARRET BROWNING.

Its so perfect. How on earth do you find the words. Which say what you want to.
